So they (Big 10 and SEC) have allowed these teams 25% of the bids to this point and when it expands to 12 they are going to lower it? Not a chance.
The Big 12 is the Big 12. They have legacy teams like K-State and Oklahoma State that have played and won in NYD and NY six bowls in recent years. They have newer teams like W VA, TCU and Cincinnati that have won NY six bowls and/or been in the playoffs. Revenue is irrelevant. A lot of these contracts may not even come to pass because of streaming. A lot of the MLB cable deals are blowing up right now because of the lack of cable subscriptions. For whatever reason the Big 12 is always in the discussion when it comes to playoffs and major bowls. And that won't change until there is an absolute breakoff from the NCAA and a 35 team NFL lite is declared and the conferences completely go away.
