1. They are not exposed to an honest history of the atrocities of communism.

2. As noted in my OP, the focus of the "movement" has changed from class issues (as, again, more capitalistic areas have produced comfortable lives for working class people) toward identity-based issues. Identity-based issues present a better opportunity to drum up agitation than happy working class people.
