for many reasons if you are going to carry a gun (for everyone's sake There should be a permit or license that requires a test of knowing how to handle a gun with so many hours of training. Ownership of a gun should be similar to driving a car legally. If a person without a permits shoots someone they are more than likely to be sued in civil court. There is no need for someone to carry or own an assault type rifle unless they are a collector for gun shows etc. There also should be a three day waiting period with background check to take possession of the gun. However you can by a stun gun or tear gas over the counter. Carrying a gun is not going to deter a criminal from shooting you and Open carry is just puts a target on your back. What does a 9 mi glock sell for?
