Cuonzo in year 1 went 20-13, tied for 4th in the SEC but tiebreakers had Mizzou as a 6 seed in the SEC tournament. That team was an 8 seed in the NCAA tournament and lost in the first round.

Gates in year 1. 25-10, 4th in the SEC won the tiebreakers. 7 seed in the NCAA tournament plus Mizzou’s first NCAA win in over a decade.

Both coaches did that with key players missing most or all of the regular season.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
