4th qtr lead in 2 losses and twice had us a winning play against Auburn.
9-3 woulda been cool but I’d be saying the exact same thing about the QB situation.
What trade offs for more talent but less experience are acceptable?
We averaged 25 points per game and I think basically one turnover per game.
Is two turnovers per game worth it to score 10 more points per game? That is an example of a scenario that we could see play out.
And I know all of this probably sounds like I am really defending and advocating for Brady Cook. What I am really doing is just saying hold on a minute and think about reasons why things might not play out the way certain fans hope or expect them to play out. My preferred scenario is that Sam Horn comes out and things click and he just balls out and wins the job. My back up scenario would be for Garcia to show really well and cut down on his interceptions and win the job.
I don’t think Drink is at much risk of being fired this year, but he certainly understands that it is time that the heat can really start to turn up. There’s not going to be any politics or BS involved in who is the starting QB, it’s gonna be the guy that he thinks can win games. But I just know how much coaches value experience and I don’t think there is much that can happen between the three guys that would truly surprise me.
