taking a risk and giving a chance to someone who doesn't practice as well as whoever Drink chooses to start.
Taking a chance very often means the 'gamble' fails which equates to losing a game(s)
Then we're firing a coach who wins 4-5 games based on a failed gamble. For haters its a great situation. We win based on a gamble or lose, just the the Drink hire was considered a 'gamble' and very atypical of a Missouri football head coaching hire.
Unless you're at practice, team meetings, around the locker room, film sessions, and see something in Garcia or Horn that Drink doesn't then tell me why the other guys should start.
Disclaimer: I don't care who starts, maybe Tommy Lock, but I do trust Moore/Drink enough to have the crazy thought that they'll start the guy who gives us the best chance to win.
I have to believe you'd rather see Cook win 8 games (unlikely) more than you'd rather see any other QB, most likely fail and win 5 games. In year one or two your premise might hold water, IMHO in year four, I don't buy it
