of the VP Mktg tells us that she felt that she wanted the brand to ‘evolve’ beyond the ‘frat boy’ mentality. Guess what, lady. That’s who drinks your product. The audience you were approaching with this campaign wants nothing to do with Bud Light.
How this campaign made it through the internal vetting process is beyond me.
But, now that it has, and you’re getting pummeled by your core customer base, what do you do?
One suggestion we considered at dinner the other night, let Bud Light die a natural death and develop a different product to deliver to the ‘frat boys’.
