Do you think it would be a good idea if there were alternative sources for chip making other than Taiwan?

Please respond with another dumb ass question or answer my original question as to whether you think whispering Joe has taken any significant steps to guarantee the availability of computer chips if Taiwan can no longer be the source of them.
