Constitutional government. For the most part that means smaller and very specific government at the federal level and possibly bigger government at the local level.
If you want to do welfare, public education and other 'liberal stuff' it should all be done at the local level. The local level has always been more responsive to the people and therefore more likely to reflect their beliefs. I think the new weed laws in Missouri are a huge mistake but they are apparently what the people want. So be it.
