fear that what's happened to some kids (groomed at school, told not to tell their parents about their grooming, given tucking/binding advice at school, then taken from them if they don't allow it to happen) will happen to their kids.

Partially irrational, but also possible.

Then again, it's like asking why conservatives are against abortion. It's not their babies being murdered, right?
