He lost by 43,000 votes in 3 states. It was closer than the 2016 election. You can talk about popular vote all you want, but that isn't how we elect the President. But if you do want to talk about popular vote, you have to talk about the GOP getting 6 million more votes in 2022 House races than Dems.
McCarthy and McConnell do not represent rank and file Republicans. They are both terrible and both are more disliked than Trump by a large margin. The both need to go.
I'm not sure why anybody needs to "handle" Trump. He'll do what he does and we'll have primary elections and We The People will decide. My honest guess, based on talks I've had in my "circle" with people that have supported him in the past, is that he will not do well in the primaries if there is another viable choice on the ballot. No one is sold on DeSantis yet. And perhaps Trump running will keep some people off the ballot, but that would surprise me. But Trump can be beaten by a real conservative. Anybody in the McConnell RINO camp ain't gonna do it.
