the GOP didn’t want Trump and for the longest time did what they could to fight his nomination. Fortunately, the people won out. Let’s not forget that Trump got quite a few Dem votes in 2016 as well.

We are in a totally different place today. Not only does the GOP not want Trump, but I’m pretty confident that a huge portion of pub voters don’t want him either.
