And I don't dispute that is a basis for my view of laws.

God does have an exacting standard. One we cannot ever achieve on our own. "No one comes to the Father but by me." No one. There is one path. The Christian life is all about bending one's will to that of God. And faith in Christ Jesus is how that manifests itself.
