but who knows who is reading this? And oftentimes when something awful happens, we later find their manifesto posted on some nutjob message board or free speech haven. It's more the opportunity to become radicalized for those who are susceptible to it. And maybe a part of the problem is the numbness that comes from posting on it all day every day so when something genuinely bad happens, it's the wrong team so it's fair game to mock it.
I'm just saying it feels unsustainable. For the country to be this divided and I don't think it's a coincidence that it's gotten so much worse since social media and the proliferation of free speech safe spaces on the internet have become so much more accessible and their conspiracy theories mainstream.
