integrity of the game, the NFL has to come down hard on those. Bad conduct outside the game has been around forever and the NFL has been slow to address it.

Part of the reason for that is they seldom face criminal charges because the players can usually get them dismissed by throwing money at the victims. For years the NFL pretended to be hamstrung by that.
