While the ceremonial law was abolished, the moral law as laid out in the 10 Commandments remains. I don't believe the Sabbath is a particular day, and per Jesus' example of the man with an animal trapped in a ditch on the sabbath, it is not a prohibition against doing anything. It is a reflection of where our heart and mind should be with regard to the Church on Earth and how we prioritize time and efforts relative to things of man and things of God.
