kids, the ones who are lucky to be admitted to a place like Mizzou but also not good enough to have a life beyond 2 years of G league, continue to be lead down a path of hoop dreams that will never happen for them. Then what? They never complete their degree, will have wasted the opportunity and all for a few dollars of NIL money?
At least Coach Martin tried to get his guys to value the college opportunity. Pinson is an example of a kid who thinks he knows better than his coaches. When he should either be using his college degree or playing professionally somewhere, he is jumping to a 3rd school in 3 years. With a kid and GF to support.
I don’t like the direction that college sports is moving. It isn’t good and is too short sighted. These travel teams and AAU don’t help either.
