From the beginning, GP promised that he'd always have a QB. Had he had the portal, he likely wouldn't have been rotating Outlaw & Farmer year 1.
Nobody would be upset if Drink was looking for a starting tackle or LB this late in the game, but you can try to find ways to compensate for not having either of those. You can't cover for not having a good QB.
