Pretty easy because the wages and bennies are really good. I've known guys who took jobs in the Bakken field when they lived in the south.
But that was then, and this is now. Many young folks hate the industry, even some of my nephews and neices. They have been brainwashed by social media on it. When their grizzled uncle tells them our energy policy needs to be a portfolio of oil, electric, solar, hydro they seem ok.....till I add NUCLEAR.
