...choice I make there that is not a traditional German style. It isn't that the other styles are bad, but they tend to be middling. I think Thrales is middling to slightly above, also. There are so many wonderful Russion Imperial Stouts that I would never be in the mood for Thrales, unless faced with seriously limited choices. That said, I do like the willingness to serve styles outside of Reinheitsgebot. I have to be in the mood for KC Bier Co, and it is especially limiting when out with my wife, whose tastes are much more narrow than mine. I tend to like any style done well, with just a few exceptions.
