more their traditional German-styles. Their takes on New world stuff wasn't great (this was way back when the segregated the German from the new stuff).

They pulled back from the KC market a few years (could have been a distributor thing) - but that was also around the time they expanded their bierhall and did a reset on their packaging/marketing.

When that happened, KC got their own German-specific brewery (follows Reinheitsgebot, imports barly/hops, etc) so I really haven't gotten much from them in a while.


With that said, with all the terrible pastry stouts out there, I've been clammoring for a good ol' normal Russian Imp.
