school it is with the expectation that the adults in the building will protect them. A kid getting jumped by another kid or kids can be seriously injured before the designated adults arrive to break them up.

Of course, Hickman Mills is no different than KCMO or KCK today. As a matter of fact, given my choice of which to work in Hickman may be my last choice. I have worked in both of the others and they seem to know that they are dysfunctional and address it. I have heard very few good things about the leadership in Hickman Mills.
