incompetent, or deluded, or corrupt, or evil or some combination of the aforementioned.

Society has lost its moral compass and veered from the path of truth, justice and morality and we are seeing the fruits of that.

Switching to some other "system" such as socialism or communism or fascism or anarchy or any other system will not fix that problem.

Our Lord gave us the remedy in 2 Chronicles 7:14:

if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
