our SoS will increase is true, but you're wrong about everything else.
The SEC isn't just adding "two superior teams", it's adding two of the biggest & most valuable brands in college sports – including what many believe to be the top brand of all.
That puts the SEC way ahead of every other conference, including the Big Ten, and crushes the Big 12. That creates a *unique* opportunity for Mizzou because of its proximity to those leagues (as I explained in the OP).
In addition to becoming the premiere conference in college sports by a large margin, the SEC will have a monopoly on the state of Texas. That puts other conferences at a major disadvantage, and the Big 12 collapsing takes TCU, Baylor, and Texas Tech out of the equation. A&M and UT will be the only major in-state players remaining, and let's be honest... they could already have any recruits they wanted.
Overall, this move makes it easier for MU to recruit STL, Big Ten territory, Big 12 territory, the midwest, southwest, southeast, and state of Texas.
