but only to some extent. Kentucky turns over there line-up nearly every season but they still attract crowds. Being relevant really helps.

I think the new transfer rules will further hurt attendance because it sets up a rich get richer scenario where proven players that were passed over in HS recruiting have a very easy route to move to more competitive teams. I think parity drives a certain amount of interest in sports. I don't watch college football any more because only 6-8 programs are relevant. I'd hate to see college basketball become that way.
