each school, and playing the others on a rotating basis.

The SEC title game would be #1 vs #2 in the standings, with tie-breaks.

For example, our annual rivals would be Arkansas and, say, Kentucky and Texas A&M. We would play the other 10 teams on a rotating basis. If the SEC stays at 8 conference games, that means we would play 5 (8-3) non-rivals per year, thus every team would meet AT LEAST every other year, as opposed to once every 6 years in the current 2x7 divisional alignment.

Note: "pods" are small equally-sized divisions, normally used in the context of a 16-team league aligned in 4x4 divisions or "pods". The problem with pods/divisions is that scheduling is more limited because all teams in the division must play each other annually. The advantage is that you can determine a winner of the division, unlike the scheduling model mentioned above where there is overlap between the sets of annual rivals. For example, Mizzou and Arkansas would NOT have the same set of annual rivals.
