The housing market in KC is absolutely nuts right now

Had a friend put an offer in on a house in waldo (3 bed, 1 1/2 bath), and they didn't get it. The winning offer was $50k over asking, which puts the house around $330k. I never thought this area would see that quick of a property value increase. I'm glad I bought my small house here a couple of years back. Trying to figure out what to offer would be a giant headache.
