If the players accumulate more power then the NFL should just go ahead, cut out the colleges and start their own competing minor league teams. And those pursuing that route should be encouraged to save the money they are paid so if it doesn't work out they have money to go to school if they choose to. I'd also, if I were the NFL, have some sort of education set up because based on the # of Juco kids out there some will benefit if they are brought up to speed in case it doesn't work out.
