You obviously never listened to the guy and are just regurgitating the talking points you've been fed about what he actually said over the years.
He was a great believer in the power of the individual to take responsibility for his or her own life and achieve great things - without government assistance, which he believed to really be a hindrance. His being called a racist is right off the top proof that the person calling him that didn't listen to him.
He was a great believer and supporter of what used to be traditional American values. He was a big supporter of what he believed to be America's founding principles and their historical basis.
He lived quite a remarkable and wildly successful life, but certainly had personal failings, which he acknowledged.
Little people throw pebbles at him on the day of his death, but it's no different than when he was alive.
He will be missed by many millions of people. Not many can say that.
