And here is a piece of her quote from which I derived my question: "the government first made their own neighbors hate them simply for being Jews."
So again, what exactly is the government doing that is causing their neighbors to hate them for their political views.
I don't disagree with anything you said. But it's not even close to analogous to Nazi Germany and how the government (and neighbors) treated the Jews. It's not only a bad analogy, it's tone deaf.
