I was in TX back then. TAMU was lucky to get a couple, and 6 or 8 would have been at UT. It just shows that things can and do change over 10, 20, 30 years. Texas is still in a good position to come back but wow, you would never have thought, in 1985, that UT could ever be shut out of the top 10 players in the state.
