The game yesterday was basically decided in the post. There were other factors of course. Their center went 12-15 from the field, and ours was 4-16. Both players were getting very similar shots. If our center went 8-16 and theirs was 10-15 it would have been the very close score it probably should have been.
We had 3 players combine to go 13-40 from the field, and that’s 32%. Not good.
Although I’ve singled out Williams I’m not laying all the blame there. The best shooter on the team is Frank. She simply has to become more assertive on the offensive end. The coaches need to make it clear to the team.
The team needs to continue to grow game by game. Dufficy hasn’t emerged as a player I hoped she would be.
I think Dickson should play more too. Coach Pingeton likes the defense from Dembele, but she’s struggled against our best opponents.
