leadership in those states. Their problems are man made and have nothing to do with Covid. See my comment above.
I can give you a perfect example. I have a client who used to be a state trooper in Illinois. He retired after 20 years and now takes a full pension (about $100,000 a year I think; I know it is north of $80,000). This is on top of what he makes from his business that he now owns and runs. And on top of that, he gets COLA adjustments to his pension every year so more money is owed to him by the state.
The man is in his late 40s and based on life expectency these days, he may live another 40 years. That's $4 million in pension payments (on top of what he's already made).
This is just one person. You tell me how that is sustainable. You also tell me why someone in Missouri should pay for that.
