do not attack actual Biblical scholarship, but what fundies claim of the text. This is a bit dishonest as it purposefully caricatures Christianity.

Fundies, with their literalist interpretations, most specifically of Genesis 1-11 make Christians look like anti-science idiots. Fundies do not understand the Bible has many literary types used by different authors. So to them Genesis 1-11 is unquestionable history, rejecting science.
