at all like a team that can make the NCAA tourney, which would be a real let down.
Not sure why you think we will be fine in the spring. Nothing changes from the fall. We will have the exact same players we do now. Nothing on the roster changes. And Omazic and LMM will not be back then. That was the real blow to the team, losing two talented starters and not having the depth to replace them with people who can play at the same level.
Don’t know exactly what the spring season will look like. Typically we play an 18 game conference schedule, 6 teams once and 6 teams twice. Does that mean we will have just a 10 game spring season against SEC teams? If it is structured like the fall because of COVID, which it certainly could be given that the virus is raging unchecked across most of the country, and the winter months are likely to be grim, then we would play 5 more teams twice each back to back. So we would play 9 teams twice each instead of 6 teams once and 6 teams twice. Which 3 teams do we avoid completely under that scenario?
My concern is that there are few chances for signature wins in SEC play, and we already failed to get a win against Kentucky. We have to hope we play Florida twice in the spring and at least split, otherwise we may not have a win against a single top 25 team, with TAMU struggling to replace the talent they lost. At this point I see even qualifying for an at large bid in the spring to be a coin flip at best, playing like we are now.
