in adjacent apartment heard the announcement and knock. Detectives that fired and struck Taylor were justified in returning fire after being fired upon first. Walker admitted that he fired first, hitting detective in the leg. Indicted officer shot wrecklessly through a back window and bullets went into neighboring apartment, putting lives in danger.
