a personal decision that you shouldn't care, which apparently you have done.

The only thing I care about regarding Covid is how much a pain in the ass it has made once simple things with all the fear, panic, and regulations.

Could I get it and die? Sure. But there isn't a high statistical probability of that. Could I get it and pass it along to someone who ends up dying from it? Sure. Could I be walking through a parking lot and get hit by a truck? Sure. Could something I do while driving that leads to an eventual chain of events that causes a pileup leading to fatalities? Sure.
