The essential assumptions underlying my post are:
a. The corona virus will cause the SEC and ACC to play their fall schedules in empty stadiums, while the BIG and Pac 12 will not.
b. Football revenue comes from two sources: (1) tv and (2) game revenue (including required giving to obtain good seats).
c. Concerns about the corona virus could cause the SEC and ACC to play in "empty stadiums", i.e. European soccer and current professional American sports.
d. Playing in "empty stadiums" will require the SEC and ACC to forgo ticket sales and required donations for ticket purchasers while the additional time to next spring may allow the B1G and Pac 12 to avoid having to forgo this revenue.
e. Widely reported numbers suggest the B1G schools each got roughly 50 million and SEC schools each got roughly 46 million in conference distributions for 2018/19. This is largely TV money.
f. if you subtract these TV numbers from the total football revenue reported by various sources for the programs, one obtains the non TV revenue for each program.
g. The difference in f above is essentially the amount that SEC and ACC programs will lose if they are compelled to play in empty stadiums this fall.
Given the facts and logic, this seems to me to be a possibility if if the SEC and ACC play in "empty stadiums".
