I remember that was always alleged as an advantage Kansas and Kansas state has years ago before the NCAA established minimum standards that the school started following. If so I just don’t see how academic scholarships would work either.
And if the students pay for it themselves through loans etc. it seems like the private schools especially would be at a disadvantage although I guess they could recruit the true top student athletes
