the schools should mostly open.

But teachers are in a slightly different category than most workers. They are the people to whom we entrust the most precious things in our lives--our children. So it's a little bit harder to just say "buck up or go home" the way we would to a guy in a factory or an office.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
