i don't think anyone can say with a straight face that NYC or Italy managed things effectively, unless you currently hold office in NYC or Italy, of course.

but i think there are large segments of the population who could endure the virus and develop antibodies with little or no negative impacts. and those segments of the population would do far more to curb the spread and bring the eventual end than mask mandates and closing skate parks will ever do.
