But if it comes to dropping sports the "easiest" one to drop is the one sport that isn't an SEC sport.
Golf - Walsworth donated funds to build a facility out at Old Hawthorne
Swimming/Diving - I could see men's swimming & diving, assuming it doesn't cause an issue with the conference
Tennis - women's only sport at MU, though Loftin was pushing to drop wrestling to add tennis. While it may help fiscally, there'd have to be a corresponding cut to men's sports in order to remain Title IX compliant.
Again, I don't want to see it happen. I'm one of those in the crowd for 3-4 duals a season. I was a crappy HS wrestler that still loves the sport and know that it's Mizzou best chance for a NC. But if it comes down to cutting a sport to fix the MU budget the easiest cut is wrestling.
Now, had Mizzou ended up in the B1G wrestling would be in a safer position. Unfortunately that didn't happen.
