Don’t using NCAA minimum standards basically level the playing field across most schools? They are much much lower than most schools standard admission standards. The key is can they academically survive once they get in to the school? That’s where the BS comes in. A school like Michigan has an entire track for their athletes even though supposedly they are “.public ivy.” If you let them in using minimum NCAA standards or some other wide open window can they academically survive? As long as you have the structured curriculum to make sure they do you’re fine if you don’t admission standards are irrelevant
