If we only play our current conference schedule. Things line up pretty good for us. We won't play until Sep 12 which gives us a week extra to implement the new offense. Another plus is that the first game would be Vandy (good tune-up), followed by South Carolina. Then we would have two weeks before Tennessee and two weeks before Georgia followed the next week by Kentucky (this looks like the two weekends that will determine our SEC East chances). Then another two week break before consecutive weekends with Miss St and Florida (could be for the SEC East representative). Finally two weeks off before Arkansas. Tennessee plays Forida the weekend before us. Georgia has Auburn the weekend before us and will be preparing for Florida two weeks after us. Kentucky could be the best rested and least distracted opponent we face with the exception of Florida. Kentucky has Vandy the weekend before us and a bye the week after. However, Florida has Vandy before us and we would be their last game. It means more when you play the best at their best (many would argue this year would be Georgia). I know there are a lot of COULD's in this, but I've been a Mizzou fan since the 60's, so being eternally optimistic is easy when your expectations aren't too high.
