not real liberal when it comes to "racism in America". There's plenty of racism, but discussion on this issue is so one-sided that it quickly spirals out of control. That leads to no progress being made.
In the past month, we had Floyd, which was a watershed situation. Very very compelling. Then a week later we turned it into being offended suddenly by statues we didn't even know existed, then Aunt Jemima, then making excuses for a drunk guy firing a taser at an officer and getting killed.
Now the news is filled with how Covid is somehow coming after black people (no discussion of awful eating habits among the black community / terrible personal choices). Everything talked about is through the prizm of being black.
I just heard somehow bringing up (again) how there are not enough black players in baseball. Yeah, blacks kids prefer football and basketball. Sorry about that. It's not a racial issue though.
There was a story on the news last night about black people struggling to find black therapists to discuss their problems and how hard that is when you have to do it with a white person.
No one can say what is clear by now: the continual victimhood that blacks cling to is the most harmful thing in America to blacks. Few two parent households, this crazy outdated notion from the South of honor leading to deadly violence at the most minor perceived slight. Seeing education as something for white folks.
Preferred racial segregation. A need to see everything first as from the vantage of being black above all else.
Wake up black people, it's not white people that are your problem. Time to look in the mirror.
