Laws are the rules that we have decided to follow as a society. Yes, they change over time and that's a good thing that should be celebrated. It shows advancement of society.

We don't have the same laws we had 250 years ago. I for one am thankful for that. I'm glad we got rid of slavery. I'm glad we gave women the right to vote. I'm glad we passed the 14th amendment and gave equal protection to all citizens. I could go on and on, but you get the point.

You and the BLM people want to destroy the history of the legacy of the Founding Fathers because they were, in many cases, slave owners. Every country in the world had slaves back then, and the Africans were not the only race that was enslaved. You should look into how the Irish slaves were treated, among others. But this legacy the Founding Fathers left us is the very system that allows for each generation to change the laws as they see fit and get rid of things like slavery and treating women like second class citizens. It was a unique idea at the time and they should be celebrated for giving us that legacy instead of being trashed and disrespected.

But you asked about "good people" and "bad people". It's simple. Good people try to follow the current laws and bad people don't. Notice carefully how that is worded. I'm really talking about how they conduct themselves from this point forward. What you've done in the past doesn't matter. I have 2 relatives that spent time in prison. My great-uncle was a bank robber and did 6 years and a cousin was just a regular thief that did 3 years for stealing. Both of these men were older adults when I was growing up and they had committed their crimes when they were young men. But they turned their lives around after joining the Army and serving in WWII. One of them also served in Korea. So they were "bad people" that became "good people" later in life. So to make this very easy to understand, your current actions are what define you as a "good person" or a "bad person". It's a really easy determination.
