negatively. Nothing will be exempt. Travel, alumni and fan support, disposable incomes, and the double whammy of political passions interjected into an otherwise apolitical sport equates to all negative outcomes. All one has to do is see that ESPN ratings are their lowest in their forty year history.

Maybe we can not escape politics being injected into sports but many will quietly stop attending, stop alumni contributions, stop watching, but more importantly become apathetic to the whole process until there will be no hope of ever bringing those fans back.

Baby boomers have the most disposable income and it is this group that may decide the fate of college football as we know it.
