That the staying in place in an unprecedented way has created a masive confounding of all data.Certainly, this has affected people in highly dense areas much worse, but to conclude, it is nothing, is quite a leap in logic.

People became frightened by it's course in other countries and no one wanted to not be proactive before it was too late. I believe some decisions were based on a worst case scenario and more might have been planned more spontaneously. For example, I see no reason hospitals haven't been doing electives once the anticipated tial wave of new CV cases,didn't materaize.
