Georgia produces more elite players than California. We probably produce more than Florida. Many Georgia players go to IMG for their senior year, and are counted as Florida players.
So, I feel your pain. Derrick Brown is from GA. He lied to Richt on the night before signing day, then signed with AU, may he rot in hell.
UGA only signs a few of the players from Georgia.
One year we had 17 QBs given schollies.
Georgia has produced the most SEC players for the past 11 years in a row. We usually have 200 D1 scholarships, but we can only sign 25, not all of whom are from Georgia.
