both Bernie and Trump are populists. They claim to be trying to get to the common people through government intervention. They just intervene at different levels...although ironically Trump is now acting more like Bernie now.

I think the point ummmm was trying to make was that people claimed to be in the Republican Party due to being a smaller government...that is almost completely refuted now...although many still claim to cling to that.

I don't disagree with what you said in your post...Trump does speak to that group very well....
